30th of November has been chosen as the date for the coronation of the 51st ooni of ife Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, officially announced the appointment of Prince Ogunwusi as the new Ooni of Ife through a letter signed by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti.
Prince Ogunwusi was selected from 21 candidates presented by the Giesi ruling house for the royal stool of Ife on October 25th..
He is succeeding the late Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse ll, who was installed and coronated as the 50th Ooni of Ile Ife on 6th of December 1980 and ruled for 35 years till his death in the middle of this year.
